Challenges

It's unquestionably urgent for Chinese government to deal with severe air pollution immediately. The newly appointed Chinese Premier Keqiang Li said on his press conference debut, he felt as upset as the public about the smog that recently shrouded Beijing and large parts of the country's eastern areas. "Firm resolutions and tough measures" are expected to tackle the problem. Regardless of government's determination in the air-quality-battle as well as successful foreign precedents in reversing hazardous air quality in metropolis, there are still several challenges that may attenuate efforts to reduce pollution.
